Practical AI training

AI becomes more useful when the training starts with the work you already do.

Bring the email, the quote, the PDF, or the spreadsheet that’s already on your desk. We’ll get a useful draft, then you’ll check it so it still sounds like you. One-on-one or a small team. Follow-ups if you want it to stick.

Good places to start

The email you’ve written 400 times

Quote follow-ups, “we’re running late,” “here’s what to expect.” A solid draft in a couple of minutes. You still hit send.

The PDF you haven’t read

A vendor contract, a policy, a long thread. Pull out what matters before you sign or reply.

The spreadsheet only one person understands

Ask in English. Get a summary or a list of problems — then check the numbers yourself.

The blank page

Job posts, product descriptions, review replies, a first pass at a handbook. You edit. You don’t start from zero.

The front desk, without a script

Common questions and reminders your staff can reuse — without pasting customer data into a tool you haven’t approved.

The inbox that ate Monday

A long thread, boiled down to the decision, the ask, and a draft reply. You still send it.

We’ll also cover sensible data boundaries, appropriate tools, and how to check AI output before you rely on it or share it.

I also teach open evening classes at WREC for adults 18 and up. Register with Wentzville Parks & Recreation, not with me.

AI For Modern Living: Vacation Planning (activity 414009). Bring a trip you’d like to take. One hour. WREC fee: $25 residents / $30 non-residents.

Bring a task. Leave with a new skill.

Tell me which task is taking more time than it should. We’ll use that as the starting point for the session.
